The Anti-Gov’t Protest that Began in 2015 Still on in Ethiopia: Two Protesters Killed Today in Shambo



The anti-government protests, which began in 2015 seeking rights, opposing abuses is still continuing, now demanding the regime to step down. Today two protesters were killed in Shambo, Oromo region of Ethiopia by government securities.

According to the Ethiopian Satellite Television (ESAT), protests took place in Western and Eastern Wollega, Baka, Adea, Gimbi and Nekemet towns today.

Since 2015, thousands of civilian protesters have been killed, wounded and incarcerated. Despite heavy-handed measures and warnings by the regime, the protests have not stopped.
