Following last week announcement by the Ethiopian Premier Hailemariam Dessalgn, who said on the state television EBC that he had ordered security forces to take “any and all” kinds of measures against protesters, the ongoing protest being in Amhara region, Ethiopian activists and netizens have taken to Twitter under the #Amharagenocide and #AmharaProtest hashtags.
The Twitter campaign has drawn a large number of participants, perhaps being 0ne of the most highly participated twitter campaigns on Ethiopian issues.
